Dear BPW Colleagues, |
| |

I volunteered for Program Chair for this coming year because I
was very pleased and impressed with the programs offered by the
BPW at each of their meetings.
As many of us do on occasion, I neglected to see and be grateful
for all the hard work that went into producing these great
programs and I will now do my best to keep these details in
order as this year goes forward. Thank you Pam Richardson
and all your helpers for making the Program coordination for the
monthly meetings appear so easy. I am now learning that much
work goes on in the background!
Appropriately the September meeting on Thursday Sept. 20
will allow us the opportunity to THANK the outgoing BPW
chairwomen as we install the new board of officers for this
year. Also at the meeting "Make the Most of Your BPW
Membership" each chairwoman will be showcasing their
committees, their benefits and requirements.
It is a great time for those who have been longstanding members
of the Nashua organization to lend their experience to the new
volunteers. It is a great time for those somewhat new to the BPW
(like me!) to have our eyes opened to the many things that go on
in the organization besides the luncheon meetings. And lastly it
is an especially great time to invite guests to join us at
the meeting. The club will be showcasing all it has to offer
and there will be plenty of time to answer questions in a
personal format. I hope all of you can come and bring guests!
Two exciting things to remember when inviting guests are that if
they join at the meeting they receive their lunch at the member
price. And we are also introducing a scholarship program to
the BPW to support women to join the organization who may
not yet be able to afford the membership fee. The scholarship
has many rewards besides the financial one for its recipient. A
mentoring program will be a large component of the scholarship.
Current members are encouraged to consider mentoring. All the
details will be available at the meeting.
Sincerely,
Cathy Clement
BPW Program Chair

Have some fun on September 20, 2007 |
| |

To add some fun to the meeting, a passport card will be given to
each attendee and upon completing the card, it will be put in a
drawing for a gift basket. There will be another prize at the
meeting, one for the person who brings the most guests! Also at
the meeting I will be looking for help and input for the rest of
the year. Hear are some of the things I am looking for
assistance with:
Meeting Sponsorship. Our meeting sponsor for September is
Kimberlie Hoffman of Dream Kitchens. Consider introducing
your business at an upcoming meeting. It costs $50 to the club,
includes your lunch and gives your business great exposure!
Gift Donations. As a BPW member, you can promote your
business by donating gifts and/orservices in your business name
for the gift baskets that will be given to our presenters and
prize winners throughout the year. I will collect these items at
our meetings. What are the qualifications of a prize winner? I
will be asking for some suggestions on the feedback form at the
meeting. Some ideas are "perfect attendance" at the meetings and
for a member who introduces the most guests.
Meeting Suggestions. I am also always looking for
suggestions and volunteers for upcoming meeting topics. Please add
comments on your feedback form at the meeting or contact me
directly at cpaclement@yahoo.com or 493-2843.

October - "Making the Most of Portable Technology" |
| |

In October we will have roundtable discussions of ,B>"Making the
Most of Portable Technology". There will be groups for
everyone's experience level, including those who are
experienced, and those who are asking "What is portable
technology?". It is guaranteed that we will all learn something
new at the meeting. There may even be a high tech door prize!
