    Dear BPW Colleagues,

barb "Whether you think you can, or whether you think you cannot, you are correct." Henry Ford

We create our lives by our thoughts and our actions from our thoughts. These are simply but very powerful words. And, they are truth. I know that some would argue with me and show me why their lives are an exception. But, the arguing makes no difference. We are what we think about. If you do not like your results you are seeing then you need to start by looking at your thoughts.

Think of a day when you were high on life and felt free to do almost anything. On those days you were not focusing on negative thoughts, you were feeding on happy thoughts. Anyone and everyone can change their thoughts and change their life. There are many books and movies to show you "how to". There are many ways to begin. My suggestion is just to start with smiling at everyone you see and internally focusing on positive thoughts for them and yourself. Practice this for even a few minutes and you will feel your general mood lift.

Every journey begins with the first step. Join me as a positive role model for women everywhere as we take steps in choosing a happy path. Become a mentor, big sister, or become more proactive in non-profits that build a stronger community. Use your wisdom, your grace and your passion to make a difference in paths of others lives.

Enjoy the walk!!!

Sincerely,
Barb Tremlett
BPW of Nashua President 2009-2010

    Member's Spotlight by Nancy Baughman

Marcia Robinson has been living and working in Nashua since 1980. First as a real estate broker for 14 years and the rest of her career has been as a mortgage loan officer.  She has first hand experience with all aspects of what's entailed in buying or refinancing a home including legal, construction, environmental, and financial.   Combine that with a lot of compassion for the inherent stress involved for the customer and a "we can make it happen" attitude.
She is currently a Loan Officer with Mortgage Planners of New England.  www.MortgagePlannersNE.com  She helps people obtain home financing and gets them into the right loan product that meets their needs.  She also does reverse mortgages.  Marcia says "Reverse mortgages are useful in helping seniors get out of a financial crisis and still keep their home."
Needless to say she knows a lot of people in these two fields, but BPW allows her a way to get to know women in other industries as well.  This gives her a great way to make new connections while at the same time giving back to the community. Over her career she also taught real estate licensing classes.  In her spare time she was president of her condo association.
Why did she join BPW?
Marcia joined BPW because she wanted to meet and grow with other successful business women in her community.  Her favorite part of BPW is meeting women from other types of businesses that she wouldn't normally get to meet. On a Personal Note
On a personal note she learned to golf in the past couple of years, something she previously never thought she'd do.  She has been having fun exploring golf courses all over southern NH.  "Golf teaches you to give every shot your best effort because every shot counts."  That's a lesson she has carried over to her personal and professional life.

Marcia
