“Outsmart Yourself: The Psychology of Organizing Your Office, Your Time, and Your “Stuff”

Date: Thursday, January 21, 2010

Time: 11:00 am – 1:00 pm

Location: Crowne Plaza Hotel, Exit 8, Nashua, NH

Do you feel overloaded at the office sometimes? Too many papers to deal with, a too-full email box, social networking opportunities and overflowing “to do’s?” Don't know how to get out of your own way some days? Keep repeating the same work, or the same mistake!

Sometimes this can be solved with the right products.

But more often, it’s about the systems, your habits and how you are wired – the psychology or brain-wiring side of organizing. What works for you won't work for the person sitting next to you!

Hear perspectives from Sue West, a Certified Professional Organizer® and trained Organizer Coach™.
· How can you work with, rather than against, your natural tendencies, allowing your days to flow more easily
· Gain more control over your time and the things that fill your office
· Feel more productive, more balanced, more in control – whatever “more organized’ feels like to you

Sue started Space4U organizing services six years ago, after going through several life changes.

She is one of approximately 400 Certified Professional Organizers ® in the United States and a candidate for Organizer Coach™ certification.

She holds three specialized certificates– for working with ADD clients, for working with chronically disorganized clients, and for coaching in the organizing context, The Coach Approach ™ certificate.

Locally, she has been asked to speak at business organizations such as NH Bar Association, Micro-Credit, ABWA among others. She also has recorded tele-classes on several business productivity topics.

On the ever-popular topic of downsizing our lives, she teaches at RISE, and speaks at local libraries and health centers. In 2009, she released a workbook called "Downsizing Dilemmas – Solved!"

Sue worked in direct marketing and high tech for almost 20 years. She won national and regional awards in continuous improvement and systematic support as well as in customer service.

Sue lives in Amherst on a lake called “Dream Lake.” And it’s a dream. Her dog loves chasing the geese and ducks; the water animals win all the time. She enjoys her work, having found her passion. She kayaks, reads, is a music lover, and enjoys dinners with friends.

Her website is www.OrganizeNH.com. She writes a blog and articles for ezine.com. She can be found on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

Our sponsor for the January meeting will be Marcia Robinson, Loan Officer with Mortgage Planners of New England. Marcia has fifteen years experience in residential and reverse mortgages. Mortgage Planners of New England has successfully introduced the “Get Connected” program. For more information: www.mortgageplannersne.com

The luncheon takes place on Thursday January 21st, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the Crowne Plaza, Exit 8, Nashua, NH. To kick off our new season of meetings, the cost is $16.00 for members and $20.00 for non-members. An RSVP is not required. The meeting includes networking, buffet lunch, and speaker.
