    Dear BPW Colleagues,

Susan Weidner Cooke, President Hopefully everyone will take a minute to review the Programs planned for this year. I think you will find exciting and varied speakers and topics. Mark your calendars now for the 3rd Thursday each month.. As you can see from the Programs Committee Report further in this newsletter, we still have a few available places for Sponsors. A sponsorship is just $50 and includes your lunch. Please contact me at 603-578- 9899 X203 to find out more information about this great marketing opportunity.

Just a reminder, our meetings begin at 11:00, so please plan on using this time to register, get settled in, hand out your business cards and network with the other members and guests. We also have the room available beyond the 1:00 end of meeting so you can stay and talk further with anyone you did not get a chance to meet.

Advertising is available through this newsletter for those of you that want to market your business. There are different levels of advertising, so read on, and contact Barb Tremlett at barbt@thehsccenter.com for more information.

I am looking for someone to serve as Vice President this year, and then move to President next year. I would continue to remain on the Board to provide assistance and am planning to return to the Programs Committee so I would also be involved with that committee. If you are interested, want further information, or know of member that you think has the qualifications necessary, please contact me at the above number.

I hope you will think how you can give back to this organization and participate accordingly. I look forward to seeing you at the Crowne Plaza!

Susan Weidner Cooke
President

National Business Women's Week®
A Business and Professional Women/USA Signature Event
October 20-24, 2008
Since 1928 Business and Professional Women/USA (BPW/USA) has sponsored National Business Women's Week®. Each year during the third week of October, BPW/USA's members across the country take the opportunity to celebrate and acknowledge the accomplishments of workingwomen.
Get-Out-the-Vote for NBWW 2008! Make sure we're at the polls on Election Day! Policies of the leadership voted in this election will be critical to working women and families. With life- changing decisions such as health care, education, pay equity and financial security at stake, we must educate women and get them (and their networks and families) to the polls in November.
Women are key in this election. Educate your representatives on the issues that are important to you! Host debate parties, vote early (if available) and make sure you and your friends, neighbors and relatives vote in November.
The objectives of National Business Women's Week® (NBWW) are:
- To promote full participation and equity for women in the workplace
- To publicize the achievements of business and professional women on the local, state and national level
- To publicize the objectives and programs of BPW/USA as they relate to the millions of business and professional women across the country

As you know, BPW Nashua is a member of the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce. It has recently come to our attention that this is a limited membership. Our Chamber contact has forwarded their official policy on member organizations and non-profits.
It is as follows: "For non-profit organization and membership organizations with paid staff, the Chamber's membership benefits are extended to all members of the paid staff. For non- profit organizations and membership organizations without a paid staff, the Chamber's membership benefits are extended to the organization's Board of Directors only, for their term in office only. The organization is requested to provide the Chamber with an up-to-date listing of their Board on an annual basis." Please accept our apologies for any confusion.

Looking forward to seeing you on November 20th.

Sincerely,
Lopa Shroff
